Inspired by Stanislaw Lem?

Postby lobosan » 20 Dec 2013 10:24

I just looked at the latest screenshots and I am getting a strong Stanislaw Lem vibe (The invincible, Solaris, Eden, Fiasco). This is great!
Have you been influenced by his less humorous and more sciency science-fiction stories?

No I wasn't familiar with his books, not sure if the lead programmer knows them. From the wikipedia page it seems he is interested in themes to do with alien civilizations, and since our planet only has intelligent life on the animal level that's probably not where you see the connection...? But other than that, he probably takes the same scientific SF approach to his stories as we do (I'm not sure, since I haven't read any of his work - might do sometime, though).
